Help! How can I make my hair stronger/stop it from breaking/get rid of split ends?

My hair is medium length, past my shoulders, but my split ends are getting out of hand. I do go for regular trims. Any products, services, or tips you can recommend?

Well if you are going in for trims that is a good start. I would recommend deep conditioning your hair two or three times a week. I usually get a deep conditioner from Sally's or just use what conditioner I have and I shampoo my hair then apply alot of conditioner and extra on the ends of my hair and then I put it in a processing cap ..you can get those anywhere they are not expensive then I take a damp thin towel and microwave it for about 35-45 seconds and wrap it around my hair ...keep this on as long as you can ...I have done it for several hours ..you will have to keep heating the towel ...then rinse out and after you have rinsed it out run cold water over your hair for a few seconds ....It really does help with your hair. I have also bought coconut milk from the grocery store and applied it to my hair either with or without conditioner and it really is good for your hair. Just remember to shake the can real good . It helps add a really nice shine to your hair ....

I hope some of this has been helpful ~~

Good Luck ~~

Cut it shorter if breaking, don't wash everyday and let it air dry.

Eat some healthier foods. Fruit, veggies, that sort of thing can help. Buy slightly more expensive conditioner. Don't blowdry your hair. Don't brush it violently when it's wet. And keep away from some chemicles.

always use professional products- protein and moisture shampoos and conditioners, and any leave ins or treatments. You can't cure split ends, but hopefully you can prevent them from coming back!

My hair can get the same way sometimes, and what I do is:

1.) get it trimmed regularly, and keep it from getting too long,

2.) use a good, thick, moisturizing conditioner (something dense, not too watery), which keeps it in better shape, and

3.) I try to be careful while styling (e.g. I use a brush with fine bristles to avoid damage, and I'm careful not to use hair bands with metal pieces that get caught).

Hope that helps!

Get a good fortifying shampoo. I really doubt a specific brand is better than another, just go for a quality brand, not a 99cent one.

Reduce the amount you put your hair up, in ponytails or clips. Wash your hair everyday, and condition everyday.

Reduce the amount of times you brush your hair dry.

Don't perm or color your hair.

If you have to blow dry, use only a cool setting.

Get the ends trimmed once a month.

to get hiar stonger you can use a special type of conditioner, and to get rid of split ends you can trim your hair until there gone (my sis does that).

try this:

use a conditioner over night - make sure you put it in your hair - focus mostly on the ends and then wrap your head in aluminum foil - it helps keep heat in - it helps moisturize

- you hair will be super soft and manageable when you wake up - make sure you rinse it off

This might sound strange getting an answer from a man but I have long hair 3/4 down my back and I found that my dry hair is brittle and split ends I now massage a scalp oil in and the hair has more strength and elasticity if that makes sense. so find a oil to work into your scalp once a week.

What you need to do is not straighten your hair for about two weeks or any burning hair products and then you need to brush you hair very good every day to even it out. Remember to wash it every night. Do this process for about two weeks then I assure you that your hair will be prettier than Paris Hiltons.
