Would black hair look good with medium brown highlights?

i know its winter, but i cant stand having the same hair color for more than three months. its black now, close to my natural color. but i want to add some shade of highlights to the bottom half of my hair, not the top. i want it to blend in but still be noticeable. I was thinking burgundy, but ive done that before, doesnt suit me well. Now im thinking a medium-light brown shade. Nothing too light, i dont want it looking even a bit blondeish (ive had that too). What do you think?

Go for it! I think it would be really cute! Plus, the upside of doing it brown instead of red, is you don't have to worry about it fading sooo fast! Good luck, I hope you get the results you are hoping for! =)
