I have medium to light brown hair, and I want blonde highlights?

Like it says, I have medium to light brown hair... But I want to dye it lighter for the spring-summer and if it goes well maybe keep it. Would I be better to go with highlights, if so what color to go lighter?! That or i was going to do the "peek-a-boo" style with light underneath and my brown on top and go with that? what would you guys/gals think about either one of those?

Do what I did. Grab sections of your hair every 5 or so inches, and dye that. It looks sooo much better then "peek-a-boo" style.

don't go with peek-a-boo. you should certainly go with professional highlighting if you can afford it (generally full highlights run about $100+). it will turn out much more natural looking. get full highlights done. if your hair is light brown, they may put in darker blonde highlights as a start, and then go lighter for the next application if you want it.

blonde is fun, and well-done highlights can look really great.

Peek-a-boo might be cute but def. not natural looking. I think unnatural looking hair is so three years ago. It's time to look natural again (in my opinion). Don't choose a color for the highlights. There are three choices for bleached streaks. Light, very light, and excessively light. I would choose very light. Not as natural but very sexy.

dark blonde/light brown highlights
