Any one have any ideas on how to actually make it blonde now or lighten i'm so afraid i'm going to damage my hair but dobn't have the money to go to a salon.......Thanks

buy yourself a pre lightning kit from somewhere like planet bong as it sounds like you didn't leave it on for long enough

leave it for a day else your scalp will burn and leave it on for about 4 hrs and then you will have really nice blond hair

This happens when you try to go too light. You can even out some of the "brassiness" by using an ash blonde dye. Don't go too light too.

You're supposed to have a salon strip your old hair color off before dying it for the first time.

Let the current hair color sit for maybe a week so it don't burn, then go for bleach this time. Watch it closely while processing or you'll be more than blond. It's not going to take much time to go from rust to blond.

REALLY the wrong place to be seeking answers. You need to see a colourist who specializes in colour correction. Leave it alone or you going to make it worse. Find a way to get the money. Oh, and by the way, the majority of 'advice' that is being offered to you is incorrect and you will end up with hair that is canary yellow and the texture of carpet fiber.

Okay, the best advice I can give to you is to head straight to the hair salon, or even go to a school that teaches about hair styling and hair dye uhohs....if you don't have much money, than try the school.

One thing I learned (personally) about hair dye screw ups: never try to fix it yourself, you will screw it up even more.
